GE LED Edgelighting will take the form of thin, flat plates of light designed to replace fluorescent tubes in both commercial and retail environments. They can be suspended or recessed flush with ceiling tiles.
“We are delighted to be launching GE LED Edgelighting luminaires at LuxLive," says Simon Fisher, General Manager for Indoor Luminaire Solutions, GE Lighting EMEA. "We are tremendously excited about its creative potential and the huge impact it’s going to have on lighting design for years to come."
The suspended luminaire offers a minimalist design that delivers remarkable light output in an ultra-thin profile. The use of transparent panels in a suspended fixture creates a dramatic floating effect, whereby the light is virtually invisible when turned off.
The recessed luminaire combines bright, uniform light with the high efficiency expected of LED lighting, and also provides an extremely stylish solution; when switched off it shows no sign of any visible light source.
A third option – a remarkably elegant linear luminaire – can be used to create dynamic spaces by providing light to the right places with impressive precision.
All GE LED Edgelighting luminaires offer the superb energy saving benefits that can be relied upon from GE Lighting’s high quality LEDs, providing a lifetime of over 50,000 hours to reduce on-going energy and maintenance costs as cutting carbon emissions
