Technical Consumer Products (TCP), the energy-efficient lighting company is rapidly growing its UK operations with the appointment of leading experts in the UK lighting industry.

Most recently, Vic Harasimow has joined TCP’s UK lighting sales team as national sales manager, taking responsibility for growing new business and market share in the UK.  Due to his extensive sales experience in the Nordic region, Vic has also been tasked with increasing TCP’s customer base across Nordic countries too.

With extensive experience and valuable connections gained in sales and marketing roles for the likes of Toshiba, Philips, Sanyo and Pioneer, Vic brings with him over 25 years experience.  Prior to joining TCP, Vic held the position of UK sales manager for Toshiba, where he was instrumental in developing and growing the company’s lighting division and building up its team.

Vic will work alongside TCP’s general sales manager, Richard Prince, who joined the company from Crompton Lamps, where he was business development manager. Richard is focused on increasing lighting sales to wholesale distributors in the UK.

Vic and Richard are part of a fast-growing team of lighting and electrical industry stalwarts at TCP, who are rapidly establishing the US company’s reputation for product innovation and service excellence in the UK market.

TCP’s UK managing director, Thomas Luecke, who joined TCP in April 2010 after more than 15 years working for Philips and OSRAM, says: “We are focused on bringing in the very best people to help us grow the TCP business in the UK. We now have a select team of well-respected, well-connected and talented people, bringing real credibility to the TCP brand and accelerating our business development efforts in the UK.”

As well as its ongoing UK recruitment drive, TCP has also opened a new warehouse facility in Kettering in addition to its UK sales office that opened in 2010.

The centrally located warehouse means that TCP is now shipping its lighting products direct to the UK from its manufacturing operations in China – cutting UK lighting delivery times to only 24-48 hours.

The TCP UK team, based in Northampton, includes sales director Stephen Dixon, who has more than 14 years’ experience gained at Philips and GE Lighting, product designer Alex Kominsky and product marketing manager Jessica Parker, who transferred to the UK from TCP’s US headquarters.
