cooper dl11The new DL11 LED downlight from Cooper Lighting and Safety, a business unit of Cooper Safety, has been designed as a direct replacement for tungsten halogen dichroic downlights.

As well as offering a 70% energy saving, it also provides a long life of 50,000 hours, which dramatically reduces maintenance costs by eliminating the need for regular lamp changes.

Using multi-die LED chip technology to deliver a high luminaire efficacy of more than 50 lm/W, the new downlight can be specified with a choice of 3000K warm-white, 4000K natural-white or 5000K cool-white colour temperatures, all producing a good colour rendering of greater than 80CRI in compliance with BS EN 12464-1 for occupied spaces.

Light distribution is controlled by a high-purity spun aluminium reflector, which is available with narrow, medium or wide beam angles. All models achieve excellent uniformity and low glare, with performance backed by full photometric test data.

Suitable for a wide variety of applications, the DL11 features a robust die-cast aluminium body and either a white or silver-grey bezel finish. It has a diameter of 95mm and can be supplied with
fixed-output or dimming drivers, both of which use plug-and-socket connections to the head unit for quick and easy installation.
