Specialist lighting solutions providers Architainment Lighting Ltd will be showcasing a range of LED technology at stand 1-E47 during this year’s Professional Lighting and Sound Association (PLASA) exhibition in London.
On show and available for demonstration will be fixtures from Philips Color Kinetics including the new ColorBlaze TRX, ColorBlast TRX, iColor Flex MX, iColor Flex LMX, iColor Accent MX Powercore, and the PL3 from Philips Selecon. The ColorBlaze TRX is a versatile, linear RGBAW LED fixture and the latest fitting available from Architainment Lighting. Designed for concert, theatre, television and stage lighting, it incorporates red, green, blue, amber, and white LEDs to achieve an expanded colour palette. The ColorBlaze TRX is incredibly bright with an output of over 7,000 lumens per 2’ fixture and can be controlled in 4” increments in 8 or 16-bit, via DMX or Ethernet. Advanced on-board control of functions and features including addressing, configuration, mode, colour control, resolution, dimming curves, diagnostics and more, plus upgradeable firmware make the ColorBlaze TRX a truly outstanding lighting tool.
Architainment Lighting recently supplied the ColorBlaze TRX to leading UK lighting companies including Utopium, Neg Earth and Dry Hire Lighting. Commenting on the fixture, Sam Garland, Production Manager for Utopium, said: “The decision to go with the ColorBlaze TRX was based on the ratio of power economy to light output along with the fast rigging time. It offers massive increase in light output and throw compared to our existing stock. They’re also very economical when it comes to power consumption and they can save time by cutting the number required in a rig to do the same job as older fixtures.”
Over the past few years Architainment has worked with lighting designers and specifiers to help realise numerous entertainment projects, including concert lighting for Pink, Radiohead, George Michael and Shakira, television lighting for various shows including the X-Factor and permanent installations including Fire and Matter nightclubs.
This year, Architainment Lighting is pleased to share stand 1-E47 with Dry Hire Lighting, a new company established to supply LED technology and other lighting products to rental companies on a dry hire only basis. The company aims to support such businesses in fulfilling their rental demands and assisting them in the event of short falls.
