Spectral has announced the UK launch of its ultra-efficient and architecturally stylised pendant luminaires, ESTRA-Pendant and a revised PLAFOU design.  Suited to office environments for VDU compatible direct/indirect lighting, PLAFOU and ESTRA incorporate slight design profiles to fit with contemporary, minimal interiors.

Both the PLAFOU and ESTRA models are sleek and minimal suspended luminaires with the PLAFOU radiating light from within through transparent panels whilst ESTRA is finished with clean aluminium surround giving it a contrasting look.

PLAFOU’s minimal and transparent housing cocoons the internal technical components of the luminaire to radiate light from with creating an uninterrupted light source. The transparency of the fitting showcases the apparent weightless nature of the luminaire and the detailed linear styling combines Spectral’s design flair with a high LOR for outstanding economy.

With luminance restricted to below1000cd/sq.m, PLAFOU offers a high level of visual comfort and includes a precisely engineered microprism surface and glare protection to minimise reflection on VDU screens. This makes the luminaire ideally suited for user-level installation and the perfect match for the modern office workplace.

Designed with similar optics to PLAFOU, the clear structure and flat linearity characterise the ESTRA luminaire and offer unparalleled design appeal. This luminaire blends elegancy into any architectural context. The flat, rectangular shape provide an adaptable design base and the aluminium finish radiates a uniquely clam ambience.

Both models share a pendant ceiling fixture where the height of the luminaire can be adjusted by up to 200cm and lamps are housed within a transparent insect guard. The trademark Spectral power-feed cable also combines suspension and main at one end for a neat uncluttered look. Both versions are available for 1200mm and 1500mm T5 options with further options for Dali control gear.
